How to work with us

We begin all our bookings with a free 20-minute call. This is friendly and informal – we are there to answer whatever questions you want to ask.

You are welcome to talk to us even if you don’t think you’re ready to work with us, but you’d like to discover more about our approach.

Our approach

Functional medicine aims to address the root causes of disease. It is a personalised approach that considers the body as a whole.

In functional medicine, we understand that the answers are not the same for everyone.

We also understand that the systems in our bodies are connected. For example, it’s now known that digestive health can affect mental health and thyroid function.

There are no ‘one size fits all’ solutions, because our bodies are all different. Each person’s history, lifestyle and genetics influence their health – and only through considering the whole picture can you know the best way forward.

Who we are

We are three functional medicine practitioners. Originally from scientific careers elsewhere, we saw an urgent need for high-quality, science-based functional medicine practised in the UK, and we turned our careers around to set up Cambridge Functional Medicine.
